Sage Grouse

Sage Grouse

Sage Grouse, the iconic bird of the west, are more abundant in Wyoming than any other state. Sage Grouse hunting is limited by a short season in September, but has a very high success rate.  Population estimates are over 600k Greater Sage Grouse in Wyoming.  Our goal on these hunts is to harvest a large male Sage Grouse for a beautiful mount.  Male Sage Grouse are 27-30inches in length including the tail and weigh 4-7lbs making this bird the largest of the North American Grouse Species.  Male Sage Grouse will live up to 9 years old, earning the utmost respect from guides and hunters.  Sage Grouse Hunting

Hunt Six Species of Upland Game Birds

Wyoming as a state provides this sort of unique opportunity with its multiple landscapes and six species of game birds we hunt. One day you can find yourself on the high sage brush prairie hunting Sage Grouse, and the next day hunting canyons and breaks for Hungarian Partridge and Wild Chukar.  Canyon lands and big Sage Brush country give way to beautiful mountain ranges that house the Blue Grouse.  No matter how many upland bird hunts you've been on this will truly be a unique wingshooting experience.
